In this Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) official entry, Katrina shares the spotlight with Alessandra de Rossi, Jennylyn Mercado, Valerie Concepcion and Diana Zubiri.

In the movie, the girls cross paths when earlier events lead them to Lovers’ Hideaway where they will spend one of the most unforgettable nights of their lives. Karina clarifies that the film, which faced casting issues prior to filming came out as what it is destined to be in the first place. “It’s a very fun movie. Lucky me, I was one of the 30 bloggers invited for the Chowking’s Halo-Halo event. For those who went there, I am sure whenever Halo-Halo is mentioned, the background music there will play on your mind as it did on mine. Talk about LSS.

This is a Philippine celebrity blog but, I just remembered that I just have to blog about it to thank them for their wonderful and hospitable attitude. Although I forgot their names,I cannot forget how hospitable they were. Arriving early, they let us order food! In the other events that I went to, we were the ones waiting for them to start. This time around, them not wanting us to wait, they offered us to order food. I seldom blog about those kinds of experiences here in my blog because I let my friend blog about reviews while I narrate what happend then. But this one is one that I want to write on my own.

Aside from letting us order food, they also presented a buffet style full of siomai’s and spring rolls (I think), I ate tons of siomai and can you imagine, I also finished my giant bowl of halo-halo. For that minimal price, I think it is worth it because it really has a lot of toppings and ingredients.

Pigging out aside, they also gave us a box of fortune cookies and 500 pesos worth of gift certificate! talk about freebies!

Yehey, on the other hand also gave out prizes and I got one of their creative planners that was designed like a notebook with a friendster like page at the back of it.

I am looking forward for the next event like this (to pigout lol) and enjoy!

Violation of PBB Rules

- Some teens inside the PBB house are wasting food! Big Brother wants to know who did that!

- 5 teen housemates were nominated in last Sunday’s tension-filled nomination night.

1. Princilla and Valerie got automatic nominations for talking about the nomination process.

2. Linda, Jieriel and Josef got the highest nominations.

3. Linda, Jieriel, Jolas, Rona and Beauty were caught by surveillance cameras speaking with their lapel mikes turned off.

With so many violations, PBBTP might end up with only five male and one female housemates—Alex, Nan, Robi, Ejay, Kevin (exempted from nomination) and Nicole!

AXN Magic Asia - Magic in India

Illusionists extraordinaire Chris Korn and JB Benn are familiar faces on AXN (Astro channel 701) with their popular shows Mondo Magic and Mondo Magic Singapore. 

This duo now takes on the colourful and bustling city of Mumbai, India, and transcends culture and language barriers to captivate audience with their new magic show Magic Asia.

An AXN original production, Magic Asia follows the cheeky duo as they incorporate into their act some of Bollywood’s top stars, conjoined twins and dancing divas. 

Watch them perform at a vibrant street festival complete with snake charmers, acrobats and Indian magicians. 

Just as the guys stir the city with their out-of-this-world antics and illusions, they too get a taste of bewilderment as they are thrown into a crash course in Indian culture. 

Not only are they taught salsa dancing with a Bollywood twist, they get invited to an Indian wedding, thrust into a group of Indian school kids, and are even placed up against a travelling Indian circus. 

Magic Asia premieres on March 24 at 9pm. Following that, it airs every Monday with a repeat at midnight.

Young singing heartthrob Sam Concepcion, who is cited recently as the Department of Education’s (Dep Ed) newest spokesperson, embarks on a nationwide campus tour dubbed “SAMa, SAMa sa Eskwela with SAM Concepcion.” Sam is set to visit 50 schools to promote Dep Ed’s current programs that aim to instill in the youth love of self, family and country; moral and spiritual regeneration; and empowerment through education.

Sam’s campus tour kicks off at Santolan High School and Ramon Magsaysay Cubao campus on December 5; Roxas High School and Makati High School on December 7; and Caloocan High School and Malabon National High School on December 10. The rest of his visits will resume in January 2008.

Sam will perform songs from his self-titled debut album, which includes hits “Even If” and “Happy,” in his school tour.
