The neediest children in Las Vegas have been given an extra hand (and vocal chords) by Charice during the Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation’s Grand Slam for Children last Oct. 12. The goal of this foundation is to enrich the lives and educate “at-risk” children.

In charicediva.com, the young singer stated: “This performance tonight is for them. So, I’m really happy to be part of this, because I can relate to them.” How true, as she herself had humble beginnings as a singer, bouncing from one town fiesta to the next in search of competition to hone her skills. With the opportunity given to her, she has chosen to give kids like her the opportunity to dream. Nice going, Charice.

“My wish finally came true!” bulalas ni Vicky nang makausap siya ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) over the phone. Halata ang pagka-excited ni Vicky dahil anim na mahabang taon nga ang kanyang binilang bago biyayaan ng Panginoon ng baby.

Lolit Solis recalled in her Pilipino Star Ngayon column that on Oct. 12, 2007, between 3 and 4 p.m., she was going to attend an event at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza but she lost her way and found herself in the poolside coffee shop where she said she saw Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby, presumably having snacks, and apparently “whispering” (the PSN headline said, “Sam at Piolo huling-huling naglalampungan,” although the word “lampungan” was not in the text, but only the word “nagbubulungan”) to each other. When the waiter blurted out her name — “Si Lolit Solis!!!” — Lolit said that Piolo and Sam “scampered” away, leaving the chairs around their table in disarray.
