STIR reported Manny Pacquiao returned to ABS-CBN because of money. And he returned to GMA because of money too. That’s why he’s being tagged now not as Kapuso but Kapera. 

Manny, not being able to stand firm on his decision, shows a major character flaw. It’s enough to conclude he has a wishy-washy attitude and that will not be easy to remove in people’s mind. He did it not twice but thrice already, which shows him as a poor decisionmaker and an opportunist. Probably he’s up against the wall with his contract with Solar Sports but it shows a big flaw in his decision-making ability. When you’re a celebrity planning a political career, you don’t do that. It’s terrible public relations. But that’s probably beyond Manny to understand.

President Gloria Arroyo on Sunday hailed Pacquiao as a symbol of Filipino “excellence” after the boxing star knocked out Diaz.

“Manny once again showed the sterling quality of excellence of a Filipino at his best,” Mrs. Arroyo said in a statement released by her spokesman here.

“We rejoice with the whole nation in his victory,” she added.

Presidential spokesman Jesus Dureza told reporters that the President watched the fight on television at San Francisco airport, as she waited for her flight home after an official visit to the United States.

Pacquaio is scheduled to return to the Philippines on July 4.

Not even the most exclusive contract could stop a resourceful broadcaster from having first access to returning boxing champion Manny Pacquiao. This happened yesterday upon his arrival at the Centennial Airport when “Umagang Kay Ganda” host Kim Atienza did Manny’s first arrival interview even if the crew of GMA’s “Unang Hirit” was present.

He also defended his wife against the accusation that she sent a scathing text message to Valerie, berating and threatening the young actress to stay away from her husband. Jinky, through the Pacquaio’s spokesperson, Reli de Leon, had already dismissed the rumor.

Manny likewise defended his wife. “Hindi naman magawa siguro ng asawa ko ‘yon na mag-text ng ganoon. Yong mga ganoong bagay, hindi naman namin napag-usapan yon.”

Despite all the issues hampering his yet-to-be shown film, Manny remains unruffled in the face of intrigues.

MARCO Antonio Barrera the toughest boxer of his division?

Take it straight from Manny Pacquiao.

“Sa kaniya pa din ako talaga nahirapan sa lahat ng laban ko,” Pacquiao told BusinessMirror. “Siya na siguro ang pinakamalakas na Mexican na nakalaban ko.”

It was the same statement Pacquiao blurted a few days after his first fight with another Mexican icon, Erik Morales, in March 2005. Pacquiao lost his initial bout with Morales via a 12-round decision but scored two thrilling knockout wins in completing their classic trilogy.

In his only encounter with Barrera on November 2003, Pacquiao totally dominated the Mexican legend inside 11 rounds of their “Peoples Featherweight” Ring Magazine title fight at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
